About Skid Steer Grapples

A skid steer grapple turns cleanup from a slow job into a fast one. Loose brush, root balls, storm debris, scrap, and firewood do not stay put in a plain bucket. Grapple arms pin the load against the tines or the bucket floor so it stays where you put it while you drive, dump, and stack.

Root Grapples and Brush Grapples

Our Extreme root grapples come in 72 inch and 84 inch widths and are built for stumps, root balls, and buried debris, where the tines rake through soil and let the dirt fall away. Brush grapples, offered as 62, 68, 75, and 82 inch brush buckets in standard and heavy duty builds, use a tighter pattern that holds smaller limbs and light brush without dropping it. We also stock 60 and 72 inch tractor and skid steer brush grapples for smaller machines.

Rake, Dirt and Utility Grapples

Rake grapples in 72 and 78 inch widths comb through soil and turf to pull out rock and roots while leaving the dirt behind, which makes them a land clearing and site prep favorite. Low profile dirt bucket grapples from 60 to 84 inches keep a solid bucket floor, so you can scoop material and clamp bulky items on top of it. Granite grapples in 54, 60, 72, and 84 inch widths fit compact tractors and skid steers and are available with John Deere mounts, and a 72 inch utility grapple handles mixed loads.

Firewood, Manure and Bale Grapples

Firewood grapples run 62, 68, 75, 82, and 90 inches and are shaped to scoop and carry cut rounds and split wood without spilling. Manure fork grapples come in 66, 72, and 78 inch widths with replaceable tines, plus an HD74 model with 2 inch tines for heavy barn and feedlot work. A bale grapple assembly and a pallet fork grapple round out the farm side.

Single Arm, Dual Arm and Weld On Grapples

Arm configuration matters. Our 72 and 78 inch rake grapples use a single arm, which is simpler, lighter, and fine for material that sits evenly in the tines. A dual arm grapple uses two arms that close independently, so uneven loads like crossed logs still get pinned on both sides. We also sell weld on grapple kits, including a 60 inch dual arm unit and a version sized for firewood buckets, if you would rather add clamping arms to a bucket you already run.

Choosing a Skid Steer Grapple

Start with your loader. Grapple width should roughly match or slightly exceed your machine's track or tire width so you are not dragging the outer edges through everything you pass. Then match tine style to material: open tines for anything mixed with soil, solid floors for material you need to keep. Every grapple here runs its arms off auxiliary hydraulics, so confirm your machine is plumbed for them. Each listing states the working width, build, and mounting.
