The same skid steer that clears a lot with a brush cutter sorts the debris with a root grapple, hauls the spoil with a dirt bucket, grades the finished surface with a soil conditioner, and pushes snow off it in January. Top Dog Grapples

Grapples are the largest family in our Top Dog selection, and they are not interchangeable. Root grapples have spaced tines that let dirt fall through while holding stumps and root balls. Brush grapples, sometimes listed as brush buckets with grapple, combine a solid bucket floor with a hydraulic top clamp so you can scoop and hold loose brush in one pass. Rake grapples, dirt grapples, firewood grapples, manure grapples, and bale grapples each shape the tines and floor for their specific material. We carry these in widths up to 84 inches, in standard and heavy duty builds.

Top Dog Buckets

Buckets are the other deep part of the Top Dog catalog, split by what you are moving. Dirt buckets and utility buckets handle general loading. Rock buckets use spaced tines to sift rock and debris out of soil, and we stock them in light duty widths for sub-compact tractors and heavy duty widths up to 82 inches with 6 inch tine spacing for skid steers. Side flow buckets discharge to the side for trenching and backfill work, including high capacity versions with a beater bar for light material. Snow buckets, firewood buckets, concrete buckets, grain buckets, and stump buckets round out the range.

Top Dog Brush Cutters

Top Dog brush cutters clear overgrowth, saplings, and heavy grass. The two decisions are deck style and hydraulic flow. Closed front decks keep material contained and are the safer choice near property lines, while open front direct drive decks feed larger material into the blades more aggressively. We carry cutting widths from 42 inches up to 78 inches, in low flow models sized for Toro Dingo and mini skid steers and standard flow models for full size skid steers. Confirm your machine's hydraulic flow rating before ordering, because a cutter specified above your loader's flow will not perform as rated.

Top Dog Snow Attachments

For winter work we carry Top Dog snow pushers, snow blades, and screened snow buckets. Snow pushers use a fixed box to move large volumes straight ahead across lots and driveways, and we stock 60 and 72 inch widths for compact tractors. Snow blades angle to windrow snow off to one side, which is what you want on long runs. Screened snow buckets carry snow away rather than pushing it, and we stock them from 90 to 108 inches with capacities from 1.4 to 1.69 cubic yards.

Top Dog Soil Conditioners, Forks, and Specialty Attachments

Top Dog soil conditioner power rakes grade, level, and prepare seedbeds. We carry 72 and 84 inch skid steer style units in both manual angle and hydraulic angle versions, the hydraulic option letting you change the angle from the cab instead of getting out. For agricultural handling, Top Dog manure forks come in 66, 72, and 78 inch widths with replaceable tines, and manure grapples add a hydraulic top clamp. The line also includes pallet forks, landplanes, bale spears, bale accumulators, diggers, and tree spades.

Choosing a Top Dog Attachment

Start with your machine, not the attachment. Confirm the quick-attach plate style, then check your loader's hydraulic flow and whether it is a standard flow or high flow machine, since that rules in or out every hydraulically driven attachment on this page. Next, match the attachment width to your machine, keeping it close to or slightly wider than the tire or track width so you are not driving over unworked ground. Then choose standard or heavy duty based on duty cycle rather than one-off jobs. Each listing states its width, mounting, and flow requirement.
