About Rolling Mezzanine Ladders

A rolling mezzanine ladder is access equipment for a raised platform, not a general purpose stepladder. It is designed to live at one location, serve one elevation, and get out of the way between uses. In a warehouse or plant where the mezzanine holds storage, offices, or equipment that is visited several times a day, this is the fixture that makes those trips routine instead of a small risk each time.

Powered Retractable Design

Every rolling ladder in this collection is a powered retractable model. The ladder lowers into position for climbing and raises clear when it is not in use, under power rather than by hand. That matters for two reasons. First, a heavy steel ladder at these heights is not something you want staff lifting manually several times a shift. Second, a retraction that takes effort is a retraction that gets skipped, and a ladder left down in a traffic aisle is exactly the hazard the design is meant to remove.

Available Heights

We stock four heights: 84 inches, 96 inches, 108 inches, and 120 inches. Measure from the finished lower floor to the walking surface of the mezzanine, not to the underside of the deck or to a handrail, and match that to the ladder height. If your measurement falls between two sizes, get in touch before ordering rather than guessing, because the geometry of the climb and the landing depends on getting this right.

Capacity and Construction

All four models are steel and rated at 350 lb. That rating covers the climber plus what they are carrying, so factor in tools, parts, or boxes going up with them. Steel construction is the reason these hold up in a plant environment where an aluminium ladder would take damage from forklift traffic and general handling over time.

Where a Rolling Ladder Fits

Typical uses are mezzanine storage decks, raised office platforms, equipment access platforms, and any second level reached often enough that leaning a portable ladder against it stops being acceptable. Because the ladder retracts, it suits locations where the floor beneath doubles as a forklift aisle, a pick path, or a work area that cannot be permanently obstructed by a stair.
